Sebastian Green

Description

Sebastian joined University College Cork in 1990 as Bank of Ireland Professor of Management, specializing in Strategic Management. He was Head of the Department of Management and Marketing until he retired in 2012. He was Dean of Commerce from 1998 to 2002 and the first Executive Dean of Commerce from 2003 to 2004. He re-launched the MBA at UCC in 1991 and was its director from 1991 to 1996 and from 2000 until 2004. Prior to coming to UCC he was Senior Lecturer in Strategy at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand and before that Research Fellow in Strategy at the London Business School. He has also been an Economic Advisor at the Price Commission, London and a Research Fellow in the National Consumer Council. Sebastian now specializes in Leadership, Strategic Management and Organization Change. He works with high potential managers to develop their leadership capabilities and with senior management teams to improve interpersonal relations, group dynamics, and strategic thinking skills. He is a Founding Director of Ochre (www.ochre.ie) which offers Executive and Leadership Coaching, Organisation Development and Strategy Consulting. Sebastian is on the editorial board of the Journal of Social Transformation and Change, and on the Knowing Field Journal. In 2006, he was appointed Chairman of the International Project Management Association's Acadic Forum. Sebastian is the author of international journal articles and books on strategy issues, corporate culture and organisation constellations.
