Brendan Cremen

Description

Brendan Cremen is an experienced technology and innovation executive who has worked in the SME and MNC industry sectors in Ireland and the US and also in the Irish public sector. For most of the 80’s and early 90’s, he was a senior manager in the US at Lattice Semiconductor from start-up through IPO. On returning to Ireland, he was a member of the launch team for Xilinx Ireland where, as Director or Engineering, he led the expansion of its mandate as an international R&D hub for the corporation. From 2006 until 2011, he was Director of Technology Transfer at UCC where he set up this new office and drove commercialisation of a broad range of intellectual property through industry collaboration, licensing and start-up formation. He was recently appointed as Director of Enterprise and Commercialisation at UCD, based in NovaUCD, where he is responsible for developing the commercialisation and business partnership agenda in the University.
